Maricopa Real Estate

Despite being small in surface area, Maricopa is the second most populous incorporated town in Pinal County and continues to grow and flourish. City Hall was even redone recently and now offers 24/7 online services.

Maricopa is located south of Phoenix, closest to the Gila River Reservation, Ahwatukee, Chandler, and Gilbert. Being small and secluded allows for serene desert and glimpses of wildlife, including the wild horses on the Gila River Reservation that can be seen from I-10 on the drive from Maricopa to Phoenix. Despite the solitude, the drive from Maricopa to its closest cities is not too bad considering the peace and quiet of a big city suburb. Highway access makes commutes into the city so much faster.

The Maricopa Unified School District provides education to all parts of Maricopa, with a few additional charter schools located throughout the city. Schools also feature youth sports programs and transportation to away games for convenience.

For fun in the sun, Maricopa is great place to be. Pacana Park has lighted softball fields as well as tennis and basketball courts and a youth playground. Copper Sky Multigenerational Center and Regional Park holds a fitness and recreation center. With a few golf courses in the area, including Duke Golf Course, a course that pays homage to actor and former resident John Wayne, and Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course, ranked fifth out of hundreds in Arizona by Golf Magazine, you can never be bored in Maricopa. The Harrah Ak-Chin Casino is just outside of Maricopa, and Phoenix Premium Outlets outlet mall is one of the closest shopping malls, located on the Gila River Reservation between Maricopa and Phoenix.

Many communities in Maricopa have lakes and rich green landscaping within them. Homes in Maricopa, generally more affordable than in other parts of the metro area, often have pools for privacy and relaxation. The vast majority of these houses and apartments are similar in style to those in the main areas of the valley.
